Project 2027? Project 2029?

My fervent hope is that someone already has begun writing the detailed Democratic agendas for 2027, when we retake control of the House, and for 2029, when we at least retake control of the White House.

We will need legislation, ready for introduction on the first day of the 2027 Congress, designed to show what Democrats in power would do, to complement the Democratic message for 2028, and to force Republicans to put their unpopular positions on record.

Clearly we will need several hundred executive orders ready for signature on January 21, 2029, together with detailed executive plans and legislation for reconstituting government services.

It will not be enough, but it will be important to begin well.
